NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :((((((((((((

Stephen Hendry vs. Mark Williams (4-5)

Final session of the World Championship for one of them tonight. How the hell can that happen?

- Ah, Stephen makes me so sad, when he's all tiny & sad in his chair :(
- Seems to run of the balls is with Mark J.

Snooker is being painful to watch again.

- Oh, Stephen Hendry. You are so sweet! I loved how he first giggled a bit about the referee and Mark's cue-tip and then totally saved the day by suggesting to take a break early.

(meanwhile on the other table: GRAEME IS MAKING A COMEBACK! YES!)

- And Stephen levelled. Cause they clearly want to make this as devastating as possible
- OH GOD SNOOKER! I sort of want Mark to level again :(

Also, Stephen Fry loves snooker. Shouldn't be surprising, cause Stephen is awesome

- I barely dare to watch any more
- OH GOD STEPHEN HENDRY JUST WON (10-7). And the look on his face when he potted that last pink? And Mark?!? They clearly both need hugs. Lots of them.

(Come on, Graeme!)

(YAY GRAEME! He did his animal scream of joy. I'm so pleased he won his first match! Poor boy deserves some good fortune)

So, Matthew Lewis asked on good old Twitter for predictions on the Liverpool/Chelsea match and I TOTALLY called it!

Now if only I had put money on this, cause I probably could have earned quite something. I have no idea how those betting sites work, though, but I imagine that 1-3 wasn't the most logical outcome of this match.

However, instead of money it earned me a shout-out from Neville Longbottom. Which, to be fair, makes my geeky Potter heart rather happy.

ringlunatic: (Blur!Graham)

THIS makes me ridiculously happy. Especially since the Blur gig (and the trip to London) are my 'looking forward to to keep me sane' things, during sleepless nights and way too much studying because of all the courses I'm following again. If I learned one important lesson last year, during the Study Year of Way Too Much is that I need something ridiculously awesome to look forward to. Last year it was Florence and Radiohead, this year it's most definitely Blur. YAY!
ringlunatic: (Radiohead!Group)

Oh dear. This means that Radiohead is not on first, and that I do have to suffer through that boring award show. I don't give a fuck about the Grammys (although it would be nice if good people won things): I just want to see Radiohead play a song, live! D:

But there will be U2 (who totally don't deserve to perform, since they have done nothing for a couple of years! Next year, yes, this year: WTF?)

ETA:

I'm not sure what to do now. Stay awak (aka no sleep) or sleep (aka no live Radiohead)? My rational side is saying: I have a research to do tomorrow, my irrational side screams FUCK THAT it's RADIOHEAD (with bonus!U2)!

ETA2:
YAY Radiohead won Best Alternative Album and Adele won a thing too!

ETA3:
U2 looked and sounded great. This looks really promising for the tour. Very ZooTV :)

ETA4:
Oh God, I need a drink. How can anyone watch this completely sober? Seriously. How awful is this?

ETA5:
http://vimeo.com/3133824 - Radiohead rehearsing for their Grammy performance. EPIC! Thom's voice is spot on!

ETA6:
Seriously people, I like Coldplay, but Viva la Vida is really not that good.

ETA7:

Radiohead next?

ETA8: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far the only good thing about the Grammys had been Twitter (seriously, that guy is hilarious), but OMG. HOW GOOD WAS RADIOHEAD? (Yes, I know I'm biased. Still best performance by miles of the night (second place for Adele). SO GOOD. And Thom's voice! Damn, I want to see them concert again now.

So now. Bed. Radiohead probably doesn't win anyway ;)
ringlunatic: (Stephen Fry)

How sweet is that?
ringlunatic: (Stephen Fry)
Stephen Fry declared today "Oscar Wilde Day", so I'm going to share my three favourite Oscar Wilde 'things'.

Sigur Rós! TONIGHT!!!

Excitement doesn't begin to cover it. WHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Also, this:

Hi, Paulien [Lien].

Stephen Fry (stephenfry) is now following your updates on Twitter.

Shouldn't make me as squee-full as it does, right? XD
ringlunatic: (Stephen Fry)
I'm on twitter now as well.

I don't really now what the point of this is, but either way. I'm gonna use it to keep up with Stephen Fry's doing mostly, cause he is lovable.

And don't worry: I'm not going to connect it to my journal so that you get daily twitters. I find those really annoying (yes, I know there is a code to hide them, but frankly I can't be bothered to find out how/where I should add that code. And it really isn't that much trouble to just scroll past those posts ;))

In other news: WALL-E is the cutest thing ever!
