Mar. 9th, 2009 10:52 amNow I give U2 the fact that the stage design looks amazing, but the first rang tickets cost €150,-! What do you mean 'we are going to make the tickets cheaper because of the financial crisis and shit'?!?! I can't afford that, nor WANT to pay that much for any band (yes, including Radiohead and Paul McCartney). WTF?
These are all the prices:
* Rang 1 (exclusief servicekosten): €150.00
* Rang 2 (exclusief servicekosten): €85.00
* Rang 3 (exclusief servicekosten): €80.00
* Rang 4 (exclusief servicekosten): €75.00
* Rang 5 (exclusief servicekosten): €65.00
* Rang 6 (exclusief servicekosten): €30.00 (this one is behind a wall probably >:[ )

Feb. 27th, 2009 04:53 pmFinally I have time to listen to the new U2 album (I did download the leak, but couldn't bring myself to listen to it). I'm sad to say that I'm a bit nervous about it all. Reactions will be hidden behind a cut.

Feb. 26th, 2009 07:30 pmSo, basically I have an invitation to the official pre-release party of the new U2 album tonight. I wasn't going to go, cause I was supposed to be going with
ilovesamwise who can't, but I think I will. It sounds fun and geeky enough to warrant a visit ;)

Oh dear. This means that Radiohead is not on first, and that I do have to suffer through that boring award show. I don't give a fuck about the Grammys (although it would be nice if good people won things): I just want to see Radiohead play a song, live! D:
But there will be U2 (who totally don't deserve to perform, since they have done nothing for a couple of years! Next year, yes, this year: WTF?)
ETA:

I'm not sure what to do now. Stay awak (aka no sleep) or sleep (aka no live Radiohead)? My rational side is saying: I have a research to do tomorrow, my irrational side screams FUCK THAT it's RADIOHEAD (with bonus!U2)!
ETA2:
YAY Radiohead won Best Alternative Album and Adele won a thing too!
ETA3:
U2 looked and sounded great. This looks really promising for the tour. Very ZooTV :)
ETA4:
Oh God, I need a drink. How can anyone watch this completely sober? Seriously. How awful is this?
ETA5:
http://vimeo.com/3133824 - Radiohead rehearsing for their Grammy performance. EPIC! Thom's voice is spot on!
ETA6:
Seriously people, I like Coldplay, but Viva la Vida is really not that good.
ETA7:

Radiohead next?
ETA8: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far the only good thing about the Grammys had been Twitter (seriously, that guy is hilarious), but OMG. HOW GOOD WAS RADIOHEAD? (Yes, I know I'm biased. Still best performance by miles of the night (second place for Adele). SO GOOD. And Thom's voice! Damn, I want to see them concert again now.
So now. Bed. Radiohead probably doesn't win anyway ;)

Dec. 18th, 2008 09:07 pmNo Line On The Horizon, the new studio album from U2, will be released on Monday 2nd March 2009.
Written and recorded in various locations, No Line On The Horizon is the group’s 12th studio album and is their first release since the 9 million selling album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, released in late 2004.
Sessions for No Line On The Horizon began last year in Fez, Morocco, continued in the band’s own studio in Dublin, before moving to New York’s Platinum Sound Recording Studios, and finally being completed at Olympic Studios in London.
The album calls on the production talents of long-time collaborators Brian Eno and Danny Lanois, with additional production by Steve Lillywhite.

And I'm actually excited (although it would have been nice if they had tried another producer). Tour next year as well????

Dec. 2nd, 2008 10:57 pmOnce I will make a long, detailed and illustrated post on why bassists are my favourite people in any band and the coolest people on Earth. My obsession/love goes FAR. Until then, I will leave you with this pic (which proofs my point all on it's own!)

(I'm getting really excited about the new U2 and I'm not sure if that's a good thing. When I became a bit fan "Automic Bomb" was just out and I loved it, but after I went through their entire back catalogue and discovered my big love for their nineties period it was very disappointing. What if it is disappointing again?)
